Ceramic Coating
Water leaves. Gloss stays.
A hard, hydrophobic layer bonded to the surface. It will not stop a rock, but it stops everything chemical. Applied in East Providence, RI.
The gloss test
If the reflection bends, the paint is not flat.
Look at a coated hood under a straight light source. Those ceiling strips should read as clean, unbroken lines.
Swirls and wash scratches break a reflection into a haze. A coating locks in whatever is under it, so the paint has to be right before it goes on.
UV resistant
Slows the oxidation that turns dark paint chalky and flat.
Chemical barrier
Salt, sap, bug residue and iron fallout cannot bond to the surface.
Easier washing
Less scrubbing means fewer wash-induced swirls over the life of the car.
Hydrophobic

On bare clear coat a drop spreads, sits, and dries into a spot. On a cured coating it beads and leaves, taking loose dirt with it.

How long does a ceramic coating last?
It depends on the system and how the car is maintained. Tell us the vehicle and how it is stored and driven, and we will tell you what to expect.
Does coating stop rock chips?
No. Coating is a chemical barrier, not an impact barrier. If chips are your concern, paint protection film is the product that addresses that.
Do I still have to wash the car?
Yes, but it gets much easier. Contamination does not bond the way it does to bare clear coat, so most dirt releases with a rinse and a gentle wash.
Does the paint need work before coating?
Often. Coating locks in whatever is underneath it, so swirls and defects should be dealt with first. Bring the vehicle by and we will look at the paint with you.
Can glass and wheels be coated too?
Yes. We coat exterior glass for water beading and visibility, and wheel faces to keep brake dust and road grime from sticking.
